On Saturday night, after my shift at Sports Direct, Brittany and I sat down and watched HBO's 24/7 Road to the NHL Winter Classic with a Spruce Beer from Garrison Brewing (local Halifax brewery). Well, the beer was fantastic and we were very impressed by the show too. Great HD clips, with well scripted commentary made for an entertaining show.
If you haven't seen episode 1 yet, I highly recommend seeing before episode 2 airs on Wednesday Dec.22.
What we really enjoyed about this show was being able to get to know the players on a personal level. It was also nice to have a story line with these two clubs. You can pick up on the emotions of the Pens as they are all full of confidence and how the Caps frustrations build up with every loss.
Favourite quote: "Teams are never as bad as they appear during their lowest points; never as good as they seem during their highest ones."
