Just wanted to pass on congrats to my old Jr.B teammate, Aaron Volpatti, from the Revelstoke Grizzlies for scoring his first NHL goal with the Vancouver Canucks last night.
Volpatti scored the opening goal of the game last night as the Canucks down the St.Louis Blues 3-1. He was called up on the weekend from the Canucks farm team the Manitoba Moose to play in his first regular season game against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
volpatti was a free agent signing this season after playing for Brown University.
He joins another ex-teammate of mine on the Canucks roster, Tanner Glass. Glass and I were teammates for the Penticton Panthers playoff run in 2002. Glass attended Dartmouth College before signing with the Canucks.
