The Western Hockey League's (Major Junior)Calgary Hitmen hosted their 16th annual Teddy Bear toss game. Fans bring as many teddy bears as they want to the game and when the first goal is scored the fans through their bears on the ice. The Hitmen players and staff gather up the bears and in the following days the players hand deliver them to a children's hospital in Calgary.
The Hitmen are owned by the Calgary Flames, however they used to be owned by Brett the Hitmen Heart of the WWE fame. Also, this is were a couple of hockey acquaintances of mine played their juniors (Justin Pogge and Scotty Bowles).
