The Indiana Ice of the United States Hockey League (top Junior A league in USA, U20 age group) held a promotional event during one of its games recently where a fan was selected to shoot for $50,000 to be donated to a charity, St. Vincent's Cardiovascular of Indiana and the American Heart Association.

After the contestant's miraculous shot made it into the net, Allstate refused to make the $50,000 donation! Citing that the contestant was standing in front of the goal line! Instead, the Indiana Ice's owners decided to make a donation to the charity since Allstate wouldn't do it. How sad is that? I mean, Allstate spends millions of dollars on advertising to say that you are in 'Good Hands' but when something like this happens, they cry fowl? Typical insurance company.
